Hi! I'm Joanne and this is my blog.
I am a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and a very quirky, cheese obsessed
foodie whose goal is to make every day special with my husband and my 110
teenagers. I eat way too much cheese, watch way too much TV, love to come up
with reasons not to work out, talk way too much, love eating out at
restaurants, long for the day when I can become a dairy farmer just to spend
time with the cows, and as a kid I used to aspire to marry Norm Abram from This Old House... Older and much wiser, I
married the man of my dreams, who just happens to be a quadriplegic. He may be
shorter than me, but his faith in God stands firmer than any man I know. I have the amazing job of shaping the lives of
teenagers. I have a wonderful family. My father is a peace loving, 80 miles a
day bike riding, God fearing man, who is and always will be my hero. My mother
is a guardian angel who watches over me and the survivors she left behind. In a
nutshell, I married a wonderful man who doesn’t just rock, he also rolls. I get
to spend my days creating stories about potatoes, picking out novels for reluctant
readers, and observing the wonders of students learning to love to learn. I
have many animals: two dogs, two cats, five chickens…only thing missing is the partridge
in a pear tree. I lost my mother way too soon, but find solace in the fact that
she is dancing with Jesus. I journey through each and every day remembering the
simple saying that used to adorn my wrist, “What Would Jesus Do?” I think Jesus
would find joy in the simple things…and cheese… Yes, he would most definitely find
joy in cheese. I am Joanne. Enjoy reading.
